90min class, incl:
• opening the body with the help of applying pressure-points to self, breathing and subtle movements
• 4-5 rounds of circular breathing
• yin yoga poses
• guided-meditation
• after-yoga tea
By introducing movement in combination with a gentle circular breath, you can prepare the body to let go of some excess tension and open it for the breathing rounds.
Additionally, I’ll introduce some pressure points that you can apply to yourself to support the opening process of the deep tissues.
I’ll be guiding you through 4-5 rounds of circular breathing (also known as the Wim Hof Method).
DO NOT practice this breathing exercise if you are/are dealing with:
• Pregnant
• Epilepsy
• High blood pressure
• Heart disease
• A history of serious health issues like heart failure or stroke
If you are dealing with other serious medical conditions, please consult a healthcare professional before joining this session.
This type of breathing method can be a little intense and overwhelming when starting out for the first time.
However, the benefits are incredible over time:
• Physical: increase in energy levels, immune system booster, anti-inflammatory, better sleep quality, migraine relief,…
• Mental and emotional: increase of overall state of happiness and overall mental health, increase willpower & body-mind connection, burnout recovery, stress relief, navigating through depression, …
After breathing together, I will guide you through some yin yoga poses during which you will enjoy an inner-journey helping you to breathe consciously and fluidly.
Discovering the different qualities in the body. Becoming aware of subtle movements in the body and sensing the stillness in between. Discovering who you truly are from the core of your being by paying constant attention to the inner awareness.
I strongly believe that finding a yoga ‘teacher’ (I personally prefer the word ‘guide’ as you and only you are responsible for your own self-development) that aligns with you is key to start a yoga-, breathing- or meditation practice. Think of the voice and teaching style for instance. Therefore, the first introduction class is only €10,-
After that, there are different possibilities and packages available:
• the FIRST class is €10,-
• 1 single class is €15,-
• if you enjoy my classes, you can also buy a membership card. It includes 5 classes for €50,- (no expiry date)
• The studio is situated in a beautiful location in the heart of Amsterdam, right beside the water. Truly a quiet and hidden gem.
• Yoga mats, meditation cushions, bolsters and blankets are available on location for free.
• All levels welcome.
• Class suitable for both men and women.
• Please arrive 10min prior to class.
• Bring a sweater for savasana (the final relaxation pose)
