GENERAL INFO

CLASS FOCUS:

> Circular breathing • Also called Wim Hof breath. This is a breathing technique in which we skip the natural pauses between the in- and outbreaths so it becomes circular. This increases the oxygen intake in the body which has a lot of benefits (read below). It also shakes up the body-heart-mind, meaning that we can reach deeper levels of consciousness while also triggering release of stagnancies stored in the subsconscious.

> Restorative Yoga • A slow and restful practice that is all about opening the body through passive stretching using props, allowing us to slow down and embrace the power of rest.

Overall, the main focus in my classes rests in pouring our awareness into ourself through practicing the art of non-interference, finding comfort in discomfort, while embodying breath and sensation.

By gathering more detail of what is present, moment to moment, we can learn to rise the levels of our sensory awareness and consequently our overal self-awareness.

CIRCULAR BREATHING:

DO NOT practice this breathing exercise if you are dealing with:
• Pregnancy
• Epilepsy
• High blood pressure
• Heart disease
• History of heart failure/stroke

If you are dealing with other serious medical condition, please counsel a healthcare professional before joining this session.

BENEFITS:
This type of breathing method can be a little intense and overwhelming when starting out for the first time. However, the benefits are incredible over time:

• Physical: increase in energy levels, immune system booster, anti-inflammatory, better sleep quality, asthma-, migraine-, arthritis relief,…

• Mental/emotional: increase of overall state of happiness, improves overall mental health, burnout recovery, stress relief, increase in willpower, naviguating through depression, boost concentration,…

>>> Think of these practices as a way to explore the depths of yourself and the connection with your living-body. The more we (re)establish the relationship with our alive self, the more at ease, vital and free we feel in our day-to-day life.

When learn to understand the changing stream of sensations happening inside of us (mental, physical and emotional in nature), we can start to develop a sense of self-agency and understanding occuring from the inside out. Over time, we learn how to self-regulate by stepping into direct conversation with the body-heart-mind.
