This cacao grows in the organic food forest of Finca El Porvenir, in the heart of Guatemala. The Maya have a long-standing tradition of cacao preparation—a living heritage that continues to this day. At the farm, the rare Criollo variety is naturally regenerated from seed, preserving its ancestral roots.

Each cacao bean is hand-selected and traditionally prepared using knowledge passed down through generations. The beans are minimally processed to retain their full nutritional profile and active compounds, resulting in a high-quality ceremonial cacao. Treated with love, care, and intention, it is crafted for cacao drinks that are both deeply nourishing and spiritually grounding.

At the farm, white Criollo cacao seeds are carefully chosen, germinated, and—once strong enough—planted among other trees in a rich, diverse ecosystem.
